Women’s Mental Health Specialist

Welcome to a space dedicated to your health & well-being.

Mackenzie Lewis, MA, LRIC, NCC

Hi, I’m Mackenzie, and I am a Licensed Resident in Counseling (#0704017977) who specializes in women’s mental health and overall well-being. My office is a space where women can exhale, where their stories are heard, their pain is honored, and their strength is never taken for granted. I specialize in women’s mental health because I believe deeply in the importance of holding space for the complexities women face: the pressure to be everything to everyone, the wounds of past trauma, the quiet battles with anxiety or self-doubt, and the longing to feel whole again. This work is personal to me. It’s rooted in the belief that every woman deserves to be seen, heard, and supported with compassion and without judgment.

FAQs

How do I know when to start therapy?

Starting therapy is a brave decision. If you are experiencing persistent sadness or feelings of hopelessness, significant distress that impairs daily life, social withdrawal, or just simply want to better understand yourself, you may want to consider reaching out.

What commitment is required?

A commitment to therapy requires regular attendance to sessions, openness to self-reflection and change, and a willingness to actively apply learned strategies in daily life for optimal results. Communication is key, so if any scheduling conflicts or other concerns arise, let me know and I will work with you.

How do I know if therapy is working?

Most of my clients typically notice change and a gradual lifting of symptoms after an average of 6 sessions with sustained improvement thereafter. You may notice a subtle improvement in symptoms around this time, which will increase with time.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! I am currently accepting new clients. Please reach out to me via either phone or email to schedule a consultation or our first session.

How much do sessions cost?

My sessions are priced at $130 each for self-pay. However, I accept a wide range of insurances (billed through clinical supervisor), and often times, you will only be required to pay your co-pay. For more information, please contact me.

What does it mean that you take a holistic approach to therapy?

A holistic approach means I consider the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – in the healing process. This may include integrating talk therapy with mindfulness practices, lifestyle guidance, somatic work, and attention to emotional, physical, and relational wellness.

What if I’ve never been to therapy before?

That’s completely okay. I work gently and collaboratively, meeting you wherever you are. There’s no “right” way to do therapy, just a willingness to show up for yourself.

How long is each session and how often will we meet?

Sessions are typically 53-60 minutes long. Frequency depends on your needs and goals, while most clients begin with weekly sessions and adjust as needed over time.

Not sure where to begin?

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when your thoughts are heavy, your emotions are tangled, or you’ve spent so long caring for everyone but yourself. You don’t need to have the perfect words or a clear plan. Just bring yourself, exactly as you are. Together, we’ll find the first step forward, gently, at your pace, with compassion.
